Victoria Jones earned her MBA in marketing, strategic planning, and organizational behavior from Northwestern University's acclaimed J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management. She built her skills in product management at Pope & Talbot, American Cyanamid/Shulton USA, Mayfair Games, and Quaker Oats, and sharpened her focus on marketing communications as Director of Marketing Services for the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board, where, for ten years, she developed marketing communications programs for Wisconsin cheese and dairy products across consumer retail, foodservice, and food processing channels. In 1993, the Madison chapter of the American Marketing Association named her Marketer of the Year. Vicky's passion is in working with for- and non-profit organizations to identify positioning opportunities and develop plans for communicating positioning compellingly. Since opening her consulting practice, she has conducted research and developed strategic, integrated marketing plans for The Wisconsin Education Association Council, Howick Associates, CWL Publishing, Silver Stone Construction, Community Business Bank, Restoration Specialists, Luttig Law Office, CM Business Services, Hestad Law Offices, and Friends of Yahara House, to name a few. Vicky has guest-lectured on marketing at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Platteville, and Whitewater campuses. She is a regular seminar leader for the School of Business's Small Business Development Center and Executive Education programs at UW-Madison. Vicky has spoken around the country of the subject of fundraising and marketing, particularly on the topic of donor demographics. A dedicated volunteer, Vicky sits on an entrepreneurial advisory board for the University of Wisconsin's small business Launching Entrepreneurial Advisory Program (LEAP). She has donated her time to teach marketing classes for the Community Action Coalition's StartSmart program, sponsored by the Wisconsin Women's Business Initiative, and Girls' Biz, sponsored by the Madison chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO). She served four years as president of First Unitarian Society in Madison, WI, and spearheaded the congregation's first strategic planning initiative. She sits on the boards of the Dean Medical Foundation, NAWBO-Madison, and the Madison chapter of the American Marketing Association. |
